Complete The Lost Boy by reading the note in the house near Wolfsbane Field, finding the boy’s body through the small passage at the back of a nearby cave, and returning with the Cellar Key. Read the note inside the locked cellar to finish the quest, then open its Amber chest.
Start in the Wolfsbane Field house
In Vale of Wrath, enter the house near Wolfsbane Field Lantern. Look for the home with a white Shrike symbol beside a locked door. Use its other entrance and read the note explaining that the boy left to join the resistance. The cellar remains locked until you find his key.

Enter the cave and defeat its elite enemy
Follow the route around the water toward the nearby cave. If the tree-log shortcut is not open, continue around the river and broken bridge, then shoot the glowing growth to lower the log. Use the grapple point to cross into the cave.
A dangerous soldier guards the interior and can summon fireball attacks. Defeat him before searching behind the arena. Keep healing and ammunition available for the encounter, and avoid standing still beside the fire attacks.
Find the crawlspace and Cellar Key
At the back of the cave, climb the small rise and look beyond the bushes for a low gap. Crawl through it, then look down toward the lower ledge where the boy’s body lies. Descend and collect the Cellar Key beside him.
The important turn is beyond the elite enemy: leaving immediately after the fight misses the passage and the quest item. The key is beside the body, not awarded automatically for defeating the enemy.
Return to the cellar
Go back to the original house near Wolfsbane Field. Unlock the door marked with the Shrike symbol using the Cellar Key. Read the note on the desk inside to complete The Lost Boy.
Open the nearby chest before leaving to collect the Wound that Heals Amber. The note finishes the quest; the chest is a separate reward interaction, so inspect both.
