The Valor Mortis Blunderbuss location is a carriage in the Fields, guarded by a Volunteer carrying a large sword. Defeat the guard, enter the carriage behind him, and collect the Blunderbuss from the table inside.
Find the guarded carriage
Look for the large-sword Volunteer with a carriage behind him as you explore the Fields. The enemy and carriage together identify the pickup; an ordinary unattended wagon is not enough to confirm you are at the right place.
Unlock the carriage and take the gun
- Defeat the Volunteer guarding the carriage.
- Return to the carriage after the fight. Defeating the guard unlocks access, but does not automatically give you the firearm.
- Enter the carriage and inspect the table.
- Interact with the Blunderbuss to add it to William’s arsenal.
- Check your available weapons and select the Blunderbuss to confirm the pickup.
Take the gun from the table after defeating the guard.
If you won the fight but still do not have the gun, check the table inside the carriage rather than searching the enemy for a weapon drop. Opening the carriage and collecting the firearm are separate steps.
Use it at close range
The Blunderbuss is a close-range firearm, useful against groups of nearby enemies. It also offers a way to hit a large exposed weak point, such as the Iron Marshall’s back, when you can safely move behind the target. These uses are optional after the pickup; no weapon upgrade is required to collect the base gun.
