Perfect Copy Amber is in a chest inside the poison-hidden camp near The Other Side Lantern in Valley of Ashes. Obtain Shield Transmutation at the University first, return to the camp and cross the poison to reach the chest in the nearby tent. This is the same area explored at the end of The Emissary quest.
Required ability and starting Lantern
Use The Other Side as your starting point. Shield is the important prerequisite for reaching the toxic camp; clearing the visible growth alone does not remove the environmental hazard. Continue the main story through the University until you have the ability, then return.
Perfect Copy and Perfectionism are separate Ambers. The chest behind an Eternal Guardsman elsewhere in Valley of Ashes contains Perfectionism and is not the pickup described here.
Route to the chest
- Travel to The Other Side in Valley of Ashes.
- Head toward the abandoned carriage and the poison-filled camp.
- Shoot the glowing weak point blocking the passage. If ground-level scenery blocks your aim, use the route up the cliffs to aim down at it.
- Activate Shield while crossing the poison.
- Follow the opened route into the hidden camp and inspect the tent beside the path. Open its chest to collect Perfect Copy.
The chest is a separate interaction from The Emissary’s final investigation. Inspecting the cloth and completing that quest does not replace opening the container. Search the camp before travelling away.
Distinguish the nearby quest items
The Emissary’s Seal lies on the desk in the carriage and starts a quest. Notes and a red piece of fabric continue that investigation. None of those objects is Perfect Copy: the Amber comes from the chest near the final camp.
If you found Perfectionism instead, you visited a different location. Return to The Other Side and use the poison camp route with Shield. This keeps the search focused on the correct container rather than other Amber chests in the region.
